From Boredom, Comes Graphics

  • Mar. 24th, 2008 at 8:38 PM
Colorful
Boredom breeds many things, but today it bred graphics. In my large amount of spare time today, I made matching banners and avatars for three elements. I recently joined an Elemental Roleplaying Board so I'm a tad obsessed currently. xD

Fire

Air

Earth
(This one is the least obvious, but it fit the character pretty well.)

I'm going to make a Water guy some time tonight, just to complete my collection. I haven't the faintest idea what I'm going to do with these though. Maybe I'll start another novel. ^__^

Self-Discipline, Sort Of

  • Mar. 5th, 2008 at 3:43 PM
School
In an attempt to get more writing done everyday I have devised a plan. See the picture below? I'm going to write a paragraph or two that has to do with it. Also, I'm going to keep posting new pictures and more writing exercises as often as possible. ^__^

Feelin' Meaningless

  • Mar. 1st, 2008 at 8:09 PM
black-eyed susan

Ever have a day where you just feel like you're totally meaningless?
I feel horridly silly. I've been rereading my journal entries and I look like some hyper, idiotic teenager. Which I am sometimes, but that wasn't why I started this. I wanted to practice writing and not post quiz results like every other bored kid who decided to make a blog.

I also feel guilty for not posting in this journal in awhile. I had told myself I would have self-discipline and would at least post something mildly intelligent everyday, even if it was just to bitch about homework and needless teenage drama.

Ugh. It seems as if self-discipline is the answer to everything I have issues with lately, and apparently I haven't got any. I need to wake up earlier in the morning, I need to finish my homework early, and I need some self-discipline to help me out!

I bet self-discipline is something you have to work towards, and isn't something you can just have, at least that's what I'm hoping. Why does everything have to be so hard though? I know life is unfair, and that most of the time you just can't catch a break, but you'd think that sometimes if you set your mind to something you'd be able to actually do it.

On the other hand, maybe I haven't been setting my mind hard enough? How do you do that anyway?

Abnormal Can Be Overrated

Today I am Study Girl.
I have a large test in history tomorrow on things like the Monroe Doctrine, the Jacksonian Democracy, and the Indian Removal Act. My teacher has told us that most of it will be short answer. I really dislike short answer quizzes, they make me brain heat and sizzle like a frying egg. Oh, gross, bad mental image!

Here's a tidbit for you, I haven't studied a whit since I got home. I got home more than four hours ago! I truly am a horribly fabulous procrastinator. I'd say bravo if I was in the mood for sarcasm, but I'm not so I guess I'll start studying.

Damn! I just realized I don't know where my notes are. Gah. Well, I guess I really should go and find those. I'd rather spend my time writing than studying. Who invented school anyway?

Busy as a Bee

Today I am Busy Girl.
Such a long day! I only got home an hour ago, there was Reading Club after school. We celebrated our win of the Public Service Announcement Contest, it'll be on television soon. The video we made was very charming, especially the part where the toilets flushed out happiness because of drugs. I didn't help make it, can you tell? xD

Nonetheless, it was fun to celebrate. There was pizza and candy, and we watched some of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. That movie makes me cringe, the only good HP movies were the first two, all the other's are horrid.

Let's see, how much homework do I have left...? Well, I've got Algebra by the ton, a pleasantly easy French assignment, and I need to get my art slip signed. Not too much. Thank the Lord.

Here's a quiz result when I was trying to reduce unwanted stress xD
What would you look like as a vampire (with pics)

You are an old vampire, and show regret for your early actions. You are excessively powerful, a force to be feared

Homework is Horrid

  • Feb. 18th, 2008 at 5:58 PM
Writing
Today I am Procrastinating Girl.
I had Friday night, most of Saturday, most of Sunday, and earlier today to finish my homework. I started my my homework five minutes ago, and am not making much head way. In fact, I just finished taking another online quiz and messing around with MS Paint.

In other news, I'm working on a writing challenge. In accordance with today's theme, I'm procrastinating with that too. I've got it all planned in my head, but my fingers aren't touching the keyboard when it comes to writing it.

I wish I didn't procrastinate so much, but it's rather hard to break the habit. I guess I better go and do just that, but maybe I'll wait a few more minutes. ;D

Party All Night Long!

  • Feb. 17th, 2008 at 12:45 PM

Today I am Lazy Girl.
I am sitting in front of this computer in a bath robe, pajama pants (that are actually quite stylish), a white camisole that makes me feel shmexy, and old slippers. Plus, I'm wearing my glasses. There's something wrong with my left eye, it's kind of puffy and I don't want to put my contacts in since that might make it worse.

Anyway, one of my friends, Emma, had her birthday bash last night, and all of us girls stayed up uber late. I fell asleep at about two, but Emma and Cate stayed up until four. Which is like, CRAZY! I am so surprised I am not totally dead right now.

The bash was pretty fun, we had pizza (the staple party food) and I commandeered the yummy garlic sauce. :3 I gave Emma a book that I wouldn't ever read, but I knew she would love, and a bag from JCPenny. We watched She's the Man, which always make me giggle like I'm certifiably insane. We laughed and played around with a weird exercise ball thing that looked like a large version of a certain male appendage. ;D Cate and I accidentally broke the arcade machine Emma has in her basement, and then shamelessly lied about having anything to do with it. At the beginning of the bash I fell in love with one of Emma's bed pillows (it was a bunny Peep) and called it my boyfriend the rest of the night.

All and all, it was a pretty awesome party.
